In General Luna
1. CEV: the best ceviche on the island
CEV does one thing and does it better than anyone: ceviche and kinilaw, its Filipino cousin, made with fish that was swimming that morning. It's a small open-air spot on Tourism Road, and the menu moves between Latin American ceviches and local kinilaw in a way that tells you something true about Siargao itself. It's popular and not big, so book ahead, and note they're closed on Sundays.

2. Isla Panciteria: the best pancit
Pancit Filipino noodles, is comfort food here, and Isla Panciteria treats it with the seriousness it deserves. The noodles are made in-house, the Pancit Chami has a quiet cult following, and the whole place runs on the kind of warmth you can't fake. It's the meal to have when you want to eat what the Philippines actually eats, cooked with real care.
Portions suit sharing, which makes it an easy one for a table of six.
3. Kurvada: the best local food
For Filipino food beyond the noodles, Kurvada on Tourism Road is our pick. Honest local cooking, generous plates, and prices that remind you where you are. It's the kind of place that fills up with people who live here, which is always the endorsement that matters. Open Monday to Saturday, lunch from mid-morning and dinner from half past five.

4. Big Belly: the best burgers
Some nights the group just wants a burger, and Big Belly settles that conversation quickly. Smash burgers, properly messy, with the kind of following that stretches well beyond the island. It's casual, quick, and reliably makes everyone at the table happy, the exact job a burger place exists to do, done well.
An easy win with kids and teenagers, and open every day.
5. Kermit: pizza night
Kermit has been feeding Siargao since 2010, and its wood-fired pizza is the island's benchmark. Homemade pasta, a leafy open-air garden setting, and long tables that were made for a full villa's worth of people. It's the easiest group dinner in town: everyone likes pizza, and this is very good pizza.

In the North
6. Lebron & Dwayne Tapsihan: the one worth the detour
In Pacifico, sits a humble family-run tapsihan with a name that makes everyone smile and food that makes them go quiet. Don't let the simple look fool you, many travelers will tell you, without irony, that this was their best meal on the island. The chicken with mushroom is the dish everyone comes back for, the portions are generous, and the bill is almost embarrassing.

7. The Coconut Nut: the best pizza in the north
Right on Alegria Beach in Santa Monica one of the island's loveliest swimming spots, The Coconut Nut is the north's answer to a slow day. Smoothie bowls and breakfast in the morning, pizza, pasta, and sandwiches later on, all with the beach a few steps away. Swim, eat, swim again, the whole day organises itself. Open Monday to Friday, morning to evening.
The kind of place a family settles into and forgets to leave.
8. Pacigao Taco Bar: tacos in Pacifico
A local family business in Pacifico, Pacigao Taco Bar does exactly what the name promises: tacos, burritos, and breakfast, with a cold beer or a cocktail if the afternoon calls for it. It's relaxed, well loved, and perfectly placed for the end of a north-coast day, tacos, then a Pacifico sunset, then the slow ride home.
